Lakeside Primary School was inspected by Ofsted in September 2018. This was a short inspection which included observations of teachers, scrutiny of the learning, talking with pupils, staff and Governors and had a close look at all aspects of school life.

The feedback was extremely positive and we are proud that the inspection confirmed that Lakeside remains a Good School, with many strong areas of practice.

Here are some quotations from our latest inspection:

Ofsted feedback on the Nursery and Reception

"Teaching in the Early Years provision is good. All staff have high expectations of what the pupils can achieve and of their behaviour. The school's values are as prominent as they are elsewhere in the school".

Ofsted February 2015 Ofsted feedback on Key Stages 1 and 2

"Teaching is consistently good across the school. This is reflected in the quality of pupils’ work, the progress pupils make and in teaching and learning. Staff have strong working relationships with pupils and widely praise their efforts, which stimulates many to try even harder. The school seeks to enrich pupils’ learning and provide them with memorable experiences through visits to places of interest and bringing visitors into the school. Through these activities, their social, moral, spiritual and cultural development is well supported". Ofsted February 2015
